Pre-fixture:

  • Cargo intakes in consultation with Masters, including stowage plans and restrictions.
  • Terminal clearances
  • Provide updated Q88 and plans/ certs as required.
  • Verify intended voyage within agreed trade range/ within INL. Also that the voyage duration falls within Owners planning.
  • Discuss tank preparation, including last cargo compatibility and slops disposal.
  • Plan vessel itinerary
  • Plan bunkering.

Post Fixture:

  • Handle day to day operations
  • Review fixture recap
  • Communicate with brokers/ charterers of voyage matters, on behalf of owners.
  • Review voyage orders and discuss same with Master, append additional voyage remarks with specific instructions for NOR, tank cleaning etc
  • Arrange voyage requirements eg canal transits, FW for cleaning, deep sea pilots
  • Oversee tank preparation if reqd.
  • Plan weather routeing and passage planning
  • Monitor voyage performance daily and suggest/ arrange hull inspections and cleaning if required.
  • Plan cargo tank heating if required.
  • If calling US waters, arrange AMS/ SCAC etc.
  • Arrange bunkers, including surveyor appointment and
  • Appoint agents at load/ discharge ports; review their PDA and arrange remittance through Owners.
  • If required, arrange cargo superintendent at load/ discharge ports
  • Vet LOIs on behalf of Owners.
  • Coordinate issues like remeasurements, vetting and cargo related supplies with the technical managers.
  • Coordinate non-standard operations like line flushing, commingling, additives, dyeing, backloading.
  • Arrange for clearance of STS vessels.
  • Review load and discharge port documents
  • Prepare freight invoice and forward to chrtrs.
  • Prepare demurrage claim and chase counters.
  • Coordinate PnI attendance for cargo related matters.
  • Handle cargo claims on behalf of owners.
  • Reconcile voyage earnings at end of voyage.
